Zach turned 4 on Dec. 29.
He marked the day with a celebration at Chuck E. Cheese with his three best buddies Kody, Kiki and Ty. Mommy and daddy tagged along.
We had a table up front by the stage decorated with a large balloon with Zach's name on it and other party accoutrements.
Zach sat at the head of the table, where he got a surprise greeting from Chuck E. himself. The big cheese placed an inflatable crown on Zach's head and a big medallion around his neck. Then he brought Zach onto the dance floor, where they were joined by Kody, Kiki and Ty for a joyous birthday dance.
The best part was yet to come: a Spiderman cake that was specially made for the occasion. Chuck E. led everyone in singing happy birthday and then Zach blew out his candle.
After cake and pizza, the boys went on to play games and go on rides.
Later, we stopped at a park, where the boys played some more. They all slept the entire ride home.
Zach still had plenty of birthday gifts to open when we got home.
After he was done tearing through his presents, he turned to mommy and daddy and asked, "That's it?"
